We hope to post photos and video once those artists send me the final edits! Thanks to a surprise visit and introduction by the president, @Andrew Sund who enriched us with the unique history and perspective of @St. Augustine College and got us off to a flying start!
Art Talk Friday is 7-8 PM at the Historic Essanay Studios, 1333-1345 West Argyle Street. Chicago, IL.
The opening reception of “1+1=Community” is in conjunction with Chicago Artists Month and features the artwork of the OpenWall committee members (the first 1) plus one artist of their choice (the second 1) that live within the 47th Ward.
The current installation has widely known artists like William Conger, Judith Roth, and some surprises, such as Phil Ponce’s first art exhibition. Stunning paintings, pottery and photography showcase the diverse and talented artists living within the neighborhood.
